Hi Friends!

BIG NEWS! The books are here! I expected massive delays in shipping and didn't encounter any, so the timeline is moved up!

I WILL HAVE THE BOOKS AT GENCON AND DRAGONCON - PLEASE READ BELOW. 

I didn't think I'd have the books in time for con season, but I do, and it would be foolish to not sell my book at the events I'm vending at.  Astra Fauna is one of my only sources of income right now. 

PLEASE READ THIS PART CAREFULLY. 

• I will have about 50 of the book at the cons I attend. (Gencon and Dragoncon)
• IF YOU EMAIL ME at [email protected] - I can bring your kickstarter pledge with me. (Have a copy of your receipt with you,  so I can record that you got it.)
• This offer DOES NOT include any of the original art tiers - I haven't made the drawings/painting yet. 
• ⭐⭐ AS A PERSONAL FAVOR to me, I'd like to ask you all to NOT pick up your kickstarter pledge at GenCon or DragonCon. ⭐⭐

⭐⭐Here's why...⭐⭐

We are traveling to the cons in a Chevy Spark - which is like a mini car. I have images below showing how much car we have vs how much merch we have.  If I bring a bunch of kickstarter pledges with me, that means I can bring less merch overall, which will impact how much money I make at the show, which impacts my ability to pay for my house, food, etc. 

Additionally, then fulfillment will get muddy. I'll need to cross reference things, refund things, double check things - this will slow down fulfillment over all, for everyone.  I am, a one person business, after all. Ideally, I'd have a con team and fulfillment team - but I've yet to develop any cloning technology at this time.

Here's the updated fulfillment/con/summer schedule 

GenCon - July 31st- Aug8th (includes driving times)

Three days to order items for DragonCon - Aug 9-11th

Mexico for a Vow Renewal - Aug 12th-20th (my fiance's eldest brother is renewing his vows and we're attending)

One week to prep for DragonCon - 21st - 27th (I'm going to try to make as many sketch/painting rewards as I can this week as well)

DragonCon - Aug 28th- Sept 6th (includes driving times)

Sept 7th - NAPS

SEPT 8th - FULLFILLMENT OFFICIALLY BEGINS!

So this timelines means you're still very likely to get your book earlier then expected even if you wait for the NEW official fulfillment start on Sept 8th. 

However, I know seeing books at cons before they're shipped out to backers can make people angry and I do not want that at all.  So if the summer schedule is making you unhappy, please email me at [email protected], tell me what your pledge is, and I'll have it ready for you at the show. Please bring your receipt on you phone so I can verify.

The books just came! We didn't have any delays. (shocking!) They all look GREAT!

This is our very tiny car - that's the same yard stick. It needs to hold, me, Tom, and everything else. We've already taken the back seats out to try to make enough space.  Do what you can with what you have, right? 

Here's the staging area in the living room. This isn't even all of it. Luckily, we'll be tying stuff to the roof rack too.  So, as you can see, we're not working with much room.  If you can hold off, please do!

Backerkit Smoke Tests are going out! PLUS a sketch

Hi Friends, 

The backerkit smoke tests are going out now. A smoke test sends surveys to 5% of backers across all pledge levels.  Once these come back and we troubleshoot any issues, the rest of the surveys can start to be sent out. 

This is a bit earlier than is in the setup up docs for backerkit, but my rep with them says it's all good and everything will still work fine. (I've been speaking with him close to daily since the campaign ended so I get this part right. ) The only difference is that you might get your survey a bit earlier. 

When the survey's do go out, I'll be sure to let you know!

Calendar invite buttons should be working now!

Quick update.

The 2 big, yellow calendar invite buttons on the campaign page should be working now!

I'm going to try to place them here for you as well, but if I somehow mess this up - go to the main campaign, scroll down near the bottom, you'll see them and I have people reporting that the ones in the main campaign do work.

Next Steps!

Hi Friends!

So after we funded and unlocked the next stretch goal in the last hour of the campaign - I was beyond excited. Then tired hit me like a bunch of bricks and I slept for a lot of Friday. 

Today's Sat and I just finished with a few family things, so I can get you folks an update!

Backerkit recommends that I wait 14 days before sending out surveys. This is so Kickstarter can collect all the funds.  So surveys for shipping come out in 2 weeks. 

IMPORTANT: Filling out the survey is how you get all digital AND physical rewards.  If you don't fill out the survey, you wont get your rewards sent to you.

1. The Books have been ordered!

2. I will be getting backerkit set up and ready to go over this coming week.  (it's mostly done but you can't do all of it until you fund). 

3. The game designers who are making the 5E stat blocks have already started working. Please see the fulfillment chart on the main campaign page for delivery estimates for everything. 

4. Also over the next week, I'll be starting the original art tier work.  Please see the fulfillment chart on the main campaign page for delivery estimates for everything. 

5. If you got the pet portrait please be gathering clear, not blurry, images of your pet.
